❤Our Children Always Leave Smiling! Learn About Our Programs Congregation Shirat Shalom has various options for a child to receive a Jewish education culminating in a Bar Mitzvah or Bat Mitzvah ceremony. Our traditional Hebrew School meets on Sunday mornings in small groups with optional virtual Hebrew practice sessions on Wednesday evenings. Parents can choose to have their children one to four sessions a month choosing a combination of Sundays and Wednesdays. Children learn to read Hebrew, chant the prayers and learn about the Jewish holidays, Torah stories and Jewish values all in a fun, experiential way. We have an online completely virtual Hebrew School for children who cannot attend our traditional school or who live out of town or state. Lessons follow the same curriculum as our traditional school and are arranged according to the schedule of the child. The program is set up for an individual child to attend or a group of children. In both programs the beginning techniques of the Infinite Child Institute are incorporated. Not only do children master Hebrew more easily but they are also gain spiritual tools to help them in their daily lives. For our B’nai Mitzvah program all students receive private lessons to prepare for their ceremonies. Students may choose to continue to attend Hebrew School in seventh grade as an added bonus or just take lessons online or in person. Students who have not been in one of our Hebrew School programs may enroll in our B’nai Mitzvah Tutoring Program that is geared to the level of each individual student. For students who wish to continue Post B'nai Mitzvah we offer a confirmation class with Hebrew Conversation as well as volunteer opportunities to be a Hebrew tutor or Teacher's Assistant in the classroom.
